canvas prints

There are two finishing options open to customers who have a canvas print made. You can opt to have either a "canvas wrap" print or a "gallery wrap" print. The significant difference between the two is that with the gallery wrap the image extends around the wooden battens so that it can be hung without a frame.

A canvas wrap print has the raw canvas visible at the edges and are usually displayed in a frame. We can supply your canvas wrap stretched or unstretched (should you wish to use your own framer).

The canvas is 340gsm and is quite rugged, but the printed surface can be susceptible to abrasion damage and we would therefore recommend that the print is given either a coat of varnish or is heat seal laminated to ensure its protection.
